The Cold versions are rated for temperatures up to 30°C and the Hot versions are suitable for 90°C on the 15 and 20mm versions, and up to 130°C from 25mm to 40mm sizes. The Cold versions from 25mm to 40mm also have the benefit of having WRAS approval for potable water systems.

Elster RABO Rotary Gas Meter – Installation and aftercare

When installing a new RABO, care must be taken to prevent debris entering the meter, you can attach a cone mesh strainer known as Top Hat Filter which prevents dirt and suspended particlesfrom entering the meter, if you are installing the meter in the vertical position please use the Top Hat Filter on both the Inletand Outlet.

This diaphragm gas meter is frequently and somewhat disrespectfully termed the “tin can” – but it is, so to speak THE “hit” amongst diaphragm gas meters.
