IOG Badger Meter - Industrial Oval Gear Meter.

The Industrial OG meter rugged flow meter with high accuracy. The range of IOG Badger Meters are capable of measuring liquids which a typical flow meter is not able to do, such as petroleum-based, water solutions and chemicals. Any type of liquid that is compatible with the materials of construction is suitable, even if the medium is very viscous or highly corrosive.

How does it work?

The IOG Meters work on the principle of Rotary Displacement. Fluid enters the inlet port and then passes through the internal chamber. As it travels through the Meter, fluid forces the internal gears to rotate before exiting through the outlet port. 

Each rotation of the gears displaces a specific volume of fluid. As the gears rotate, a magnet on each end of the gear passes a reed switch in the top-mounted registers circuit board. 

The reed switches send pulses to the microprocessor in the resister to change the LED display segments. The oval gear meter can be used in conjunction with a variety of industrial registers and digital totalizers.

 The IOG range is available from 1/4" to 3" and has several options (size dependant) for the housing materials, including PVDF, Stainless and Aluminium.
