Danfoss SonoMeter 40

The Danfoss SonoMeter 40 is a compact range of ultrasonic energy meters designed to measure energy consumption in both heating and cooling systems for billing purposes. 

These meters are equipped for remote meter read-out (AMR).

Each SonoMeter 40 energy meter includes an ultrasonic flow sensor, two Pt500 temperature sensors, and a calculator with integrated circuits for temperature measurement, 

flow calculation, and energy computation.

- Available nominal flow rates: qp 0.6, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 6.0, 10.0, 15.0, 25.0, 40.0, and 60 m³/h

- Triple communication options: M-Bus, wMBus onboard, plus one additional communication module slot

- Housing connections: threaded (G3/4 to G2) or flanged (DN 20 to DN 100)

- MID-approved ultrasonic energy meter with a dynamic range of 1:100 (qi:qp) in Class 2

- Optional MID-approved dynamic range of 1:250 in Class 2

- Temperature range: 0 to 180°C

- Nominal pressure: PN25 bar as standard

- Calculator protection: IP65 as standard (IP68 available upon request)

- Flow sensor protection: IP68 as standard

- Compatible with return or supply pipe installation, for both vertical and horizontal mounting

- Battery life: minimum of 15+1 years

- Low pressure loss, resistant to dirt

- No calming sections required before or after the flow sensor (DN 15 to DN 50)

- For DN 65 to DN 100, calming sections are required (5 × DN inlet, 3 × DN outlet)

- Remote reading via M-Bus, OMS 868 MHz radio, RS 485 Modbus, BACnet, LoRaWAN, pulse output, or optical interface

- Includes two pulse inputs or outputs (pre-installed cable optional)
