Elgas EQZ Turbine Gas Meters

Manufactured by Elgas, the EQZ Meters are used to measure Gas flows using a Turbine operation. Available from sizes 40mm up to 100mm, the EQZs are made up of a Meter Body which sits in the pipework, and the Meter Head which has the Index and Impeller fitted. The Meter Bodies are suited to multiple different Meter Heads allowing for quick changes and replacements. The 40mm and 50mm models are available with a threaded BSP Connection and then starting at 50mm all the way up to 100mm, a PN16 Flanged connection is available.

A Pulsed Output is available as standard on all EQZ Meters and we can provide Pulse Cables with a 2 metre lead to provide remote connection to a BMS or Data Logging facility. Alongside this stable Pulse Plug connection, a second Low Frequency Pulsed Output can be utilised without breaking the Warranty Seals of the Meter, further extending the EQZs remote data capabilities. A High Frequency Pulsed Output can be supplied as a special order item that needs to be factory fitted to the Meter.

As the EQZ Meters use a Turbine Impeller we would suggest the use of a Filter in order to protect them from harmful particles or blockages that can occur. The Top Hat Filters we can offer are a commissioning filter that will not incur a long term pressure drop for the system. The EQZ Meters can be mounted in either Horizontal or Vertical planes of Pipework. An Over-Run brake can be fitted to the EQZ Meters to work accurately with Gas Supplies that have an intermittent operation. This will prevent the Meters from recording inaccurate readings due to momentum.
