DESCRIPTION

For installation involving higher temperatures of water, the MAG3100P Flow Meters from Siemens can be supplied. Using Electromagnetic sensors to measure flow volume to a precise level, the MAG3100 ranges are manufactured with PTFE Liners on their internal parts which can handle the higher temperatures of 130°C and 180°C on special order models. The Meters detect the flow as it passes through and converts this into an electrical signal. The display then proportions this reading against the velocity of flow to make a volume measurement. The MAG3100 Meters are available across a size range from 25mm to 2000mm.


The MAG3100 Meters are paired with the MAG5000 or MAG6000 display which will vary depending on the communication outputs required. The MAG5000 is supplied as standard with Analogue and Pulsed Outputs that can be configured through the display itself for their ratios and ranges. The MAG6000 has the same Analogue and Pulsed Outputs but with the added option of a Bus form of communication, such as Profibus or Modbus.


Generally, with the involvement of higher temperatures the display parts are mounted remotely from the MAG3100 Flow Parts using shielded cables. Wall Mounting Kits are available that allow easy installation of the displays. A 230vac mains or 24vdc power supply is required to be connected to the display units themselves with power drawn to the Flow Part on a low voltage through the remote mount cables. The MAG3100 Flow Parts can be mounted on either horizontal or vertical orientations and still ready accurately and reliably.
