The Prowirl F 200 Vortex Meters from Endress and Hauser are primarily suited to be used when monitoring Steam consumption. Available in sizes from 15-300mm, all with a flanged connection as standard. The flange pressure ratings are variable from PN10 to PN40 as a general range with specification to suit each application. As the flow passes through the meter the differential pressure generated from the Vortexes that build up and is translated to electrical signals. This data is all processed by the LCD that can either be mounted on the Meter for a compact installation or wired up for a more remote style.
Alongside the LCD readout, the Prowirl F 200 Meters have communications outputs both supplied as standard and extras as options. With all Meters, an Analogue 4-20ma Output and Pulsed Output are available and can all be configured through the display unit. This comes with a push button navigation for both viewing data that has been logged and setting up the output ratios. A Profibus communication can also be supplied as a special requirement should an installation call for it. A 24vdc power supply is required for all Prowirl F 200 Vortex Meters.
The measuring principle of the Prowirl Meters means that Steam is not the only medium that can be monitored, with flexibility to work with other Gases and Liquids as well. All of the Prowirl F 200 Meters are coated with aluminium so just check the compatibility of this material with your medium should you want to use this on more than just Steam.
