Thirty years and counting!

The legendary BK-G4 Gas Meter has now been measuring our gas for 30 years! 2018 marks a milestone year for a world renowned meter! Over the years the BK-G4 has often been referred to as the ‘tin can’ or ‘The Old Reliable’ – we like to use the latter. 

In 1988 the first of the BK-G4's were introduced by Kromschröder – the same year that our British pubs could stay open all day… Seeing many updates over its life to keep it a strong contender for an ever moving market, the Honeywell BK-G range remains one of the most popular diaphragm gas meter ranges on the market in the UK and further afield. 1988 was also an imperative year for the UK, the original Globe Theatre was uncovered by archaeologists, the £1 note ceased to be a legal tender and Phil Collins had a number one hit single with ‘A Groovy Kind of Love’ 

The BK-G4 range sets the standard, with quality and accuracy at the very centre of the range.
