Sontex – The ‘Super’static Heat Metering range
Why is it ‘Super’?
Sontex has been around for over 25 years, brought to the UK by DMS in the year 2000 as our UK exclusive Heat Metering range. The Superstatic range boasts both quality and reliability, using a unique static measuring principle that allows such a high flow rate range. Covering flows from as little as QP1.5 to a staggering QP1500 m3/h. The Superstatic is paired with the Supercal 531 integrator, creating a multifunctional measuring system that is able to measure not only the flow and temperature but also you are able to read these over different time periods such as daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Available in both battery and mains power supply options, whilst offering MBUS and other communication and billing additions. The Superstatic is a popular choice for building technology and automation in district energy as well as being an appropriate choice for domestic and commercial applications including RHI installations.
The Superstatic range uses the fluidic oscillator principle that was developed by NASA and refined by Sontex for the highest measuring accuracy, guaranteeing that only the liquid will flow through the meter, providing precision and stability - ensuring reliable flow and readings. This is also guarantees accurate flow where there is risk of dirty water or magnetic deposits.
Installing a Superstatic meter on your application opens the door to huge benefits, saving you time and giving you financial benefits, but how? The removable measuring head allows for low maintenance costs and efficient re-calibration, being the only glycol tolerant heat meter suitable with to use with over 100 glycols de-risks any chance of frozen pipes (Read more here about using a glycol tolerant meter to avoid frozen pipes). Also being RHI Approved allows you to claim for the RHI Government heating incentive. The Superstatic meters can be used for both heating and cooling, plus they can be installed in horizontal and vertical pipework.
The Superstatic Heat Meter received the top grade of 5 stars for measurement precision and stability for nominal flows of QP1 and QP3.5 m3/h in the German District Heating Association AGFW - Wärmezähler Prüfprogramm IV
Finally here are some more points to consider;
· Suitable for solar thermal, biomass, renewables, ASHP, GSHP, commercial and domestic applications – RHI, MID Approved and EN1434 Class 2
· Removable measuring head, allowing for low maintenance and efficient re-calibration
· Made from high quality corrosion resistant material – again saving possible future costs repairing cracks or damage and losing money on inaccurate measuring due to a corroded meter
· Free of charge calibration certificates
· 12 months warranty
· Same meter for both heating and cooling
It isn’t called ‘Super’static for no reason…
