The GCA Gas Solenoid Valves from Coster
DMS supply the full range of GCA Gas Solenoid Valves from Coster
With so many Gas Solenoid valves on the market it can be a hefty job choosing the valve you require, we have put together some essential information needed when choosing a Gas Solenoid Valve
What is a Gas Solenoid Valve? A Gas Solenoid Valve is a safety valve that prevents gas traveling through it when activated. Stopping or allowing gas to pass through the pipework.
How does the Gas Solenoid Valve work? When the coils within the Valves are not powered up the Valve remains closed in order to prevent any Gas from passing downstream. Then as power is reapplied to the coils they automatically reset themselves to permit Gas flow again
Where do I install the GCA? The Gas Solenoid Valve is installed inside the gas line where the gas is being supplied from, should a fire or fault occur the gas valve will immediately close, preventing the gas from travelling further
The GCA Range of Gas Solenoid Valves can be used for safety while working on gas appliances, emergencies or domestic use.
What sizes are stocked in the GCA range? The GCA range starts at 15mm and is available up to 300mm, sizes between 15mm to 50mm have a screwed (threaded) connection and from 65mm onwards are supplied with a PN16 Flanged connection type.
Installation Advice The GCA’s can be installed horizontally or vertically, however the Coil on top of the Valve must not point towards the floor otherwise the Valve is at risk of not closing properly. A Closed Position Indicator (or CPI Switch for short) can be added to the GCA Valves in order to provide a remote indication of when the Valve is closed or not.
What power supply does the GCA Valve require? The standard GCA range is supplied with a 230vac, however we can supply a 24v version on request.
