Elster RABO Rotary Gas Meter – Installation and aftercare
How to ensure your Rotary Gas Meter will work efficiently and ensure a long life!
RABO Gas Meters all use Rotary Displacement technology to measure the volume of gas passed. They’re available in sizes DN32 up to DN150 with PN16 Flanged Connections, an IN-S10 Pulse Transmitter is fitted as standard with all RABO meters in order to provide 2 Low Frequency Pulsed Outputs, further options are available - High Frequency Pulse and also an M-Bus Output.
When installing a new RABO, care must be taken to prevent debris entering the meter, you can attach a cone mesh strainer known as Top Hat Filter which prevents dirt and suspended particles from entering the meter, if you are installing the meter in the vertical position please use the Top Hat Filter on both the Inlet and Outlet.
RABO Rotary Gas Meters are used to measure Dry Gas only such as Natural Gas and LPG, suitable seals and gaskets must also be used dependant on the medium.
Please only use a damp cloth to clean the meter, using a dry cloth can cause electrostatic which can be harmful for the running of the meter.
DMS also stock Top Hat Filters for next day delivery.
