A Busy October for DMS: Smart Buildings, British Superbikes and Going Paperless

October is shaping up to be a busy month for DMS Metering Solutions, with major industry events, the final round of the British Superbike Championship and another important step forward in our sustainability journey.

From showcasing smarter building solutions in London to supporting motorsport at Brands Hatch, there’s plenty happening over the next couple of weeks.

One Week to Go Until Smart Buildings Show 2026

There is now just one week to go until Smart Buildings Show 2026, taking place at ExCeL London on 14–15 October.

DMS Metering Solutions will be exhibiting on Stand B21, bringing together our expertise across heat, water, gas and energy metering, data collection and building services solutions.

We’ll also be joined by some of our key partners, giving visitors the opportunity to discuss a wide range of technologies and applications with specialists all in one place.

Our Technical Director, Chris Bishop, will also be taking to the Controls & Networks Theatre on Wednesday 14 October at 1:35pm, alongside Laura Bishop.

With smart buildings increasingly reliant on accurate measurement, connectivity and accessible data, the show is a great opportunity to explore how metering forms part of the wider smart building ecosystem.

Whether you need support with a new project, are looking to improve an existing metering system or simply want to catch up with the DMS team, come and see us on Stand B21.

Proud Sponsors as the British Superbike Season Reaches Its Finale

It’s also a big month away from the world of metering, as the 2026 British Superbike Championship reaches its final round at Brands Hatch from 16–18 October.

DMS is incredibly proud to support motorsport and the talented riders we have sponsored throughout the season.

From the highs and lows of race weekends to podium celebrations and the determination shown both on and off the track, it has been fantastic to follow the journey throughout 2026.

As the season heads into its final weekend, we’d like to wish everyone involved the very best of luck at Brands Hatch.

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting the sport and the people behind it, and we look forward to finishing another brilliant season on a high.

Going Paperless: Another Step Towards Our Carbon Goals

Back at DMS HQ, we’re also making changes behind the scenes as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.

We are currently transitioning to a paperless system across our operations, helping us reduce unnecessary paper use, minimise waste and improve the efficiency of the way we work.

It may sound like a relatively small operational change, but reducing our reliance on paper forms part of the wider steps we are taking to reduce our environmental impact and work towards our carbon goals.

The new system will also help streamline processes internally, improve access to information and reduce the amount of printing, filing and physical paperwork used throughout the business.

As with any significant system change, there may be some minor disruption while our team adjusts to new processes. We are working hard to ensure this is kept to an absolute minimum and that customers continue to receive the high level of service they expect from DMS.

If you experience any issues during the transition, our team is always available to help.

Looking Ahead

From smarter buildings and better access to energy data, to reducing our own environmental impact and supporting the people and organisations we’re proud to be associated with, October reflects many different sides of DMS Metering Solutions.

We’re looking forward to an exciting few weeks — starting with Smart Buildings Show at ExCeL London on 14–15 October, followed closely by the British Superbike Championship finale at Brands Hatch on 16–18 October.

If you’re heading to Smart Buildings Show, make sure you come and say hello to the team on Stand B21.
