Un-measurable happiness - The DMS baby boom!
We are very excited to announce the birth of 2 new babies! We send congratulations to our warehouse manager, Liam, on the birth of his daughter and to Adam our business development manager, on the birth of his daughter.
A fresh coat of paint!
Our MWN water meters have been given a new look – out with the old red and blue design and in with a futuristic grey with a red or blue ring to show its temperature variant. The new coat of paint is made by epoxy powder coating to ensure a high anti-corrosive and damage resistant performance.
Employee Anniversaries
The Summer of 2022 brings a milestone work anniversary for our Company Secretary, Heidi Scannell – 20 years!
Heidi began her employment with DMS back in June 2002, which at that time DMS was known as Direct Metering Supplies. Heidi’s initial role consisted of quoting, marketing, accounts, and office management. As DMS has grown and evolved Heidi has remained an essential piece of the puzzle and is a well-known voice on the end of the phone to our customers and suppliers alike. In 2008 Heidi became our Company Secretary. We would like thank Heidi for her 20 years of service and we look forward to seeing what the next 20 years bring!
We have another milestone work anniversary for our long serving employee Chris Bishop - 18 years – our technical manager. Chris started with us in 2004 as a warehouse operative and technical sales advisor. The warehouse at the time was the size of a small garden shed! Chris became our technical manager back in 2011 and is often found out on site or running our highly successful CPD training sessions. Chris manages a team of 5 people and is a highly respected name in the metering industry. Congratulations on your 18th Anniversary and thank you for your service!
We also have David Mortimer, who works in our Technical Sales department celebrating 10 years this summer! David started with us as an apprentice in our warehouse at our Pinxton office. David is a familiar face to our customers thanks to his regular appearance on our YouTube channel and over the past few years has also been assisting our customers on site visits. Congratulations David – here’s to the next decade!
This season also celebrates our National Sales & Operations manager, Darren Windsor on 5 years with us. Darren has been able to obtain prestigious projects and gives our customer a valuable contact for their metering and control requirements. Darren can assist our customers from the early stages of project design, right through to project completion. Darren also gets involved in our Breakfast seminars and CIBSE approved CPD sessions.
We are very grateful to each of our employees who create the success that we continue to enjoy.

We like to show appreciation to all of our employees, regardless of their time with the company. Our thanks are given by way of breakfast cobs, bonuses, and Employee of the Quarter. Which brings us to our latest winner of EOTQ – Charli Einfelds! Charli started with us in March 2022 and has already made an impression in the office! Well done, Charli, from all the positive feedback we have received, you have fitted well into the team since starting, with comments such as “team player”, “always gives 100%”, “great work ethic”. Congratulations Charli and thank you for your hard work!

DMS on the road again!
Birmingham we are coming!
We will be returning to Birmingham on the 12th of October for our highly successful Breakfast seminar. In February 2022 we were very pleased to resume our breakfast seminars. We travelled back to London for our first event prior to COVID. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.
Our seminar consists of breakfast cobs, coffee and the latest industry and product updates. We have highly respected industry speakers and the mornings have previously been described as time-worthy, valuable and insightful.
