A Smarter Solution to In-line Meters

The Micronics U1000MKII-HM is a Clamp-on non-invasive portable flow water and a heat meter, an alternative to the traditional inline energy meters, producing highly accurate readings, helping the user to save money and eliminating the need for expensive drain down, or pipe cutting etc. giving you minimum downtime and maximum availability!

The meter offers a non-intrusive method of energy monitoring for hot water systems in commercial properties, energy management and billing applications in domestic and commercial, district or shared heating or cooling systems and chilled water with glycol circuits.

Compact, rugged and reliable, it provides a sustained performance in industrial environments, including building services, water management, power, food/beverage, mining and agriculture requiring portable or fixed non-invasive ultrasonic flow metering.

The U1000MKII-HM is a transit time ultrasonic flow meter designed to work with clamp-on transducers, providing an accurate indication of liquid flow rate in a closed pipe, without the need for any mechanical parts to be inserted through the pipe wall or to protrude into the flow system. Ultrasonic time of flight flow measurement with 2x 4 wire Pt100 temperature sensors to measure flow and return temperatures measuring the flow rate with volume pulse output. It displays energy rate and totalised energy with pulse output and communication options.

No specialist engineers or tools are required to install the meter, reducing downtime to a minimum. The installation consists of clamping the meter on top of the pipe, selecting the pipe size on the screen, securing the meter, and connecting power and temperature sensors. The versatility of it means it can be connected and used on Steel, Stainless Steel, plastic, and Copper piping materials.

The Flow meter comes with optional Modbus & M-Bus communications so that it can be used as a standalone meter or as an integral part of an aM&T or BEM’s system.

Also, Pulsed and 4-20mA Output is available on request.
