The company started life as Direct Metering Supplies Limited but decided to rename itself during 2004 recognising that nearly all their clients had adopted the abbreviation ‘DMS.’

Over 10 years DMS have established themselves as a major supplier of Water Meters, Heat and Cooling Meters, Gas Meters, Electricity Meters and Oil Meters. They hold comprehensive stocks at their premises in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire and can despatch most orders the same day.

They have established excellent relationships with their European suppliers and are proud to represent such major names in the industry such as Sontex, Kamstrup, GWF, Apator PoWogaz, Wateau, Elster, Samgas and Tecnocontrol.

Diaphragm Gas Meters

Samgas & Elster range of Diaphragm Gas Meters G2.5 to G100 offer a very wide measuring range designed for working upto 0.5 bar. All models are available with the option of Low Frequency pulse outputs for use with Energy Monitoring Systems. The principal elements of the meter are a pressed steel casing internally and externally coated against corrosion. A measuring module which is inserted into the casing a complete unit and a magnetic coupling transmitting the movement to the index.
 
For ‘Smart Metering’ applications Elster Diaphragm Gas Meters are also available with an m-bus interface by using the BK Z6-1 Absolute Encoder index.

Turbine Gas Meters

QA & QAe Turbine Gas Meters

QA Quantometers are highly reliable gas meters which can be used throughout the entire field of flow metering and which fulfil all of the varying requirements of industrial metering.
The QA and QAe quantometers work on the principle of the rotating turbine wheel. The rotation of the turbine wheel is proportional to the volume of the flowing gas and this volume (Vb/m3 ) is registered by either a mechanical (QA) or an electronic (QAe) index. The QA & QAe  turbine gas meters are available in sizes DN 25 (1″) to DN 150

For ‘Smart Metering’ applications the QAe Gas Meters with electronic indexes are also available which have an EN1434 m-bus interface as standard.

Q75 Short Pattern Turbine Gas Flow Meters

The Q/Q75 series of quantometers are well known in the field of industry and commerce as robust and accurate turbine meters. They have a low price and are particularly suitable for highly-accurate and reliable metering, also in higher flow and pressure ranges.

The Q75 is available in sizes DN 50 to DN 600

Roots Rotary Positive Displacement Meters

The ROOTS© meter is designed to accurately measure the total volume of dry gasses and gas mixtures. The time tested and accepted ROOTS© meter with its permanent accuracy employs the rotary positive displacement principle. This built-in accuracy is fixed by precision machined impellers and a rigid measuring chamber. Measurement is not affected by changes in gas specific gravity of pressure nor by wide fluctuating flows. The ROOTS© meter is available in sizes DN 50 to DN 200

CPT Turbine Gas Meters

The CPT Quantometer is a turbine gas flow meter based on the rotation of an impellor, the speed of rotation being proportional to the flow rate of the gas. A magnetic linkage transfers this movement to the mechanical index, which provides an accurate reading of totalized gas flow and a scaled pulse output for remote reading etc. The meters are constructed for installation between flanges like a “sandwich”. The index head can be rotated through 350 degrees. The CPT  turbine gas meter is available in sizes DN 50 to DN 200

J42 Domestic Gas Regulator

The J42 is an angled type regulator designed for low pressure domestic meter applications with inlet pressures up to 350mb.

The J42 meter service regulator meets the requirements of British Gas Specification PRS3. It has full lock-up capability and is available with or without integral under pressure cut off (UPCO). The UPCO version has an automatic reset which re-establishes supply dependant upon the system integrity. It can be mounted in either a vertical or horizontal orientation, and is suitable for use with natural, liquid petroleum and manufactured gases.

Any installation of the above products must be carried out by an approved Gas Safe Engineer  – These products are available at our e-bay shop
