<h3>GWFcoder® technology:</h3>
<p>Transfers the effective meter reading. The readout value in the billing system and the invoice are the same as the meter reading.</p>
<h3>Pulse transfer:</h3>
<p>The potential sources of error for a reproduced meter reading with pulse transmission are:</p>

<h2>GWFCoder Applications</h2>
<h3><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/wireless-pit-readout.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-648 alignright" title="wireless-pit-readout" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/wireless-pit-readout.jpg" alt="Wireless pit readout" width="537" height="315" /></a>Wireless pit readout</h3>
<p>Meter with GWFcoder® register, IEC interface and GWF radio module (type RCM-PI) is read out by radio using a mobile infrastructure.</p>
<h3 style="margin-top: 265px;"><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/gwf-read-mobile.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-654" title="gwf-read-mobile" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/gwf-read-mobile.jpg" alt="GWF Read Mobile" width="537" height="317" /></a>GWFRead Mobile &#8211; Wall pad reading</h3>
<p>Encoder meters with a wall pad can be read without entering the property by means of an inductive wall pad. The meter data is then automatically assigned to the customer. The meter readout device then transmits this data wireless via Bluetooth to the Mobile readout<br />
device.</p>
<h3 style="margin-top: 160px;"><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/mbus-remote-reading.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-659" title="mbus-remote-reading" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/mbus-remote-reading.jpg" alt="MBus Remote Reading" width="537" height="315" /></a>M-Bus remote reading</h3>
<p>The meters with GWFcoder® registers and <strong>M-Bus </strong>interfaces are connected to an <strong>M-Bus</strong> remote reading system. This ensures that the meter data is transferred directly via an <strong>M-Bus</strong> data centre or level converter to a PC where the data is further processed.</p>

<h3 style="margin-top: 140px;">GWFCoder Variants</h3>
<p>The metering application dictates which unit is the most suitable for any installation. Suitable units are shown below for domestic and bulk, gas and water metering applications.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/dms-encoder-variants.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-large wp-image-613" title="dms-encoder-variants" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/dms-encoder-variants-1024x411.jpg" alt="GWFCoder Variants" width="737" height="296" /></a></p>
<h3>GWF Coder Technology</h3>
<p><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/dms-gwfcoder-how-it-works.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-623" title="dms-gwfcoder-how-it-works" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/dms-gwfcoder-how-it-works.jpg" alt="How the GWFCoder works" width="302" height="286" /></a>In the GWFcoder® system, the individual rollers of the mechanical register are read out optoelectronically. The position of the various long asymmetrically arranged slits in the roller counters is scanned using 5 light barriers (light-pipe transmitter and receiver).</p>
<p>The light barriers are implemented with phototransistors. LEDs, and light conductors, which are all consecutively scanned and evaluated. The precisely defined position of each individual roller counter is encoded as an absolute roller counter reading and read out as a part of the protocol via the GWFcoder® interface.</p>
<p>This functioning principle is patented by GWF. The GWFcoder® interface, compared to a meter with a pulse output, has an incomparably higher level of information content and readout accuracy. A GWFcoder® register does not require a battery, which, in turn, does not compromise existing revision cycles. The readout device supplies the power for the readout.</p>

<p>Samgas &amp; Elster range of Diaphragm Gas Meters G2.5 to G100 offer a very wide measuring range designed for working upto 0.5 bar. All models are available with the option of Low Frequency pulse outputs for use with Energy Monitoring Systems. The principal elements of the meter are a pressed steel casing internally and externally coated against corrosion. A measuring module which is inserted into the casing a complete unit and a magnetic coupling transmitting the movement to the index.<br />
 <br />
For &#8216;Smart Metering&#8217; applications Elster Diaphragm Gas Meters are also available with an m-bus interface by using the BK Z6-1 Absolute Encoder index.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/QA-QAe-Turbine-Gas-Meters.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-217" title="QA &amp; QAe Turbine Gas Meters" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/QA-QAe-Turbine-Gas-Meters-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/Turbine_Gas_Meters" target="_blank">Turbine Gas Meters</a></strong></p>
<p>QA &amp; QAe Turbine Gas Meters</p>
<p>QA Quantometers are highly reliable gas meters which can be used throughout the entire field of flow metering and which fulfil all of the varying requirements of industrial metering.<br />
The QA and QAe quantometers work on the principle of the rotating turbine wheel. The rotation of the turbine wheel is proportional to the volume of the flowing gas and this volume (Vb/m3 ) is registered by either a mechanical (QA) or an electronic (QAe) index. The QA &amp; QAe  turbine gas meters are available in sizes DN 25 (1&#8243;) to DN 150</p>
<p>For &#8216;Smart Metering&#8217; applications the QAe Gas Meters with electronic indexes are also available which have an EN1434 m-bus interface as standard.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Q75-Short-Pattern-Turbine-Gas-Flow-Meter.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-218" title="Q75 Short Pattern Turbine Gas Flow Meter" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/Q75-Short-Pattern-Turbine-Gas-Flow-Meter-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/Q75_Turbine_Gas_Meters" target="_blank">Q75 Short Pattern Turbine Gas Flow Meters</a></strong></p>
<p>The Q/Q75 series of quantometers are well known in the field of industry and commerce as robust and accurate turbine meters. They have a low price and are particularly suitable for highly-accurate and reliable metering, also in higher flow and pressure ranges.</p>
<p>The Q75 is available in sizes DN 50 to DN 600</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/Roots_Rotary_Positive_Displacement_Meters" target="_blank">Roots Rotary Positive Displacement Meters</a></strong></p>
<p>The ROOTS© meter is designed to accurately measure the total volume of dry gasses and gas mixtures. The time tested and accepted ROOTS© meter with its permanent accuracy employs the rotary positive displacement principle. This built-in accuracy is fixed by precision machined impellers and a rigid measuring chamber. Measurement is not affected by changes in gas specific gravity of pressure nor by wide fluctuating flows. The ROOTS© meter is available in sizes DN 50 to DN 200</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/CPT-Turbine-Gas-Meter.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-219" title="CPT Turbine Gas Meter" src="http://www.dmsltd.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/CPT-Turbine-Gas-Meter-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a><a href="http://www.dmsltd.com/CPT_Turbine_Gas_Meters" target="_blank">CPT Turbine Gas Meters</a></strong></p>
<p>The CPT Quantometer is a turbine gas flow meter based on the rotation of an impellor, the speed of rotation being proportional to the flow rate of the gas. A magnetic linkage transfers this movement to the mechanical index, which provides an accurate reading of totalized gas flow and a scaled pulse output for remote reading etc. The meters are constructed for installation between flanges like a “sandwich”.
